After partition of India, this Seva Samiti was recognised as an independent branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math with effect from 1^st October 1947. A Math centre was added to it in 1949. Swami Gopeswaranandaji Maharaj was appointed head of the centre. Swami Shivaramanandaji Maharaj(Achintya Maharaj) succeeded him from June 1954 to September 1969. Swami Swattwanandaji Maharaj became head of the centre till November 1974. After that Swami Udgeethananda continued till March 2013. There after Swami Nareshanandaji was Secretary of this Asrama till 13^th june 2015.There after Swami Prabhasananda was Secretary of this Asrama till 16^th October 2024. Currently Swami Premaghanananda is holding the responsibility as Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Karimganj.
