Report on the Observance of International Yoga Day 2026

I am pleased to share a brief report on the observance of International Yoga Day 2026 at Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, held on 21 June 2026 in the Mission premises.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Mission authorities and was led by the Physical Education Teacher of our institution. The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of the Mission Hostel, GAP students, Final Year Philosophy students of Karimganj College, volunteers, devotees, and parents associated with the Mission.

The programme commenced with prayers, followed by a brief introduction on the significance of Yoga in promoting physical health, mental concentration, emotional balance, and spiritual well-being. Thereafter, various Yogasanas, Pranayama, and relaxation exercises were demonstrated and practiced under proper guidance.

The participants actively engaged in the programme and showed strong interest throughout the session. The observance served as a meaningful occasion to promote healthy living, self-discipline, and inner harmony among the participants, in keeping with the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

The programme concluded with prayers for peace and the welfare of all. The celebration was greatly appreciated by the participants and inspired many to incorporate Yoga into their daily lives.

With respectful pranams.

Yours in the Lord,
