Swami Premaghanananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, at Vidhan Bhavan, Dispur, and submitted a memorandum seeking support for the establishment of a new Eye Clinic at Sribhumi for the well being of the people of this town and nearby places. The meeting provided an opportunity for a constructive discussion on the proposed eye clinic and the need to strengthen quality eye care services in the Barak Valley.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Chief Minister listened attentively to the proposal and assured that the matter has been noted and that constructive steps would be considered.
Present during the meeting were Swami Atmashuddhananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Guwahati; Shri Milon Das, MLA, Hailakandi; and Shri Kamalakshya Dey Purkayastha, MLA, Katigorah.
On the same occasion, Swami Premaghanananda Maharaj also met Shri Krishnendu Paul, Hon’ble Minister for Barak Valley Development and Public Health Engineering (PHE), and MLA, Patharkandi, at the Vidhan Sabha Karyalay.
